The Washington County Sheriff’s Department is continually accepting resumes for the position(s) of Detention Officer and Deputy
These are typically full time salaried positions. Starting salary depends upon experience and includes benefits. You will receive training and work in a fast paced environment. You must be able to multi-task and will be challenged to continually learn and develop your skills. Your main responsibility will be to facilitate communication between citizens and multiple emergency agencies.
Detention Officer Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Have a valid driver's license and good transportation
- Must pass a background test and drug testing
- No felony or major misdemeanor convictions or domestic violence convictions
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Must be able to work any shift
Field Deputy Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age and a U.S. citizen
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Have a valid driver's license and good transportation
- Must pass a background test and drug testing
- No felony or major misdemeanor convictions or domestic violence convictions
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Must be able to work any shift
- Must complete the Basic Police Academy within timelines set forth by State Statute
Resumes can be dropped off at the Washington County Sheriff’s Department between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday located at 611 SW Adams Blvd Bartlesville Oklahoma.
In the event an opening in one of these areas comes open and you are selected to be interviewed you will be contacted by phone to set up a date and time for an interview.
In the event you are considered a potential candidate for a position you will then be given a background packet with instructions on how to complete it and when to return it.
