Budget Board

Washington County is under the County Budget Act. 

The Budget Board consists of all elected officials.

• The chairman is the chairman of the Board of County Commissioners.
• The vice-chairman is elected by the County Budget Board members and serves in the chairman's absence.
• The secretary is the County Clerk.

If a vacancy occurs in an elected county ofice, the chief deputy may fulfill the Budget Board position until an officer is appointed or elected.
