Washington County Accessibility Policy

Washington County is committed to making its web site accessible to all users, and we are committed to the inclusion of several features designed to improve accessibility for users with disabilities.

Images on the site will contain 'alt tags' with descriptions of the image, which aid users who listen to the content of the site by using a screen reader, rather than reading the site.  Fonts are set to be relative and adjustable by web browsers so that they can be changed to accommodate different needs. To improve the accessibility of this web site, we will test the pages with screen readers and other web tools. The results of these reviews will be incorporated into the website.
